For the 26 years I've been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, I've had some minor GI problems off and on, nothing serious… until lately. A few months ago, I was having serious abdominal pain. Several ER/doctor visits later and a battery of unpleasant tests by a gastroenterologist and I still don't have a diagnosis. I'm still waiting on the results of biopsies performed during one of the tests and should get them next week.

Everything from IBS, Crohn's, and Celiac disease has been suggested as possible causes of the pain. As someone with an autoimmune disease, I'm certainly at risk for those health problems as well, but I'm wondering if this is just Hashimoto's symptoms I've never had before. I've read that some Hashimoto's symptoms are similar to IBS, etc.

If I went through all those uncomfortable tests only to find out it's just symptoms of Hashimoto's and all I need to do is adjust my meds, I'll be a bit peeved. Yell LOL.

Take charge of your health! No one else will do it for you.
