Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis symptoms are often fairly vague and can be mistaken for some other condition. Symptoms also vary from person to person, so you may not experience all the same symptoms that another thyroid patient experiences.This is a list of many, but probably not all symptoms of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. If you find that you have several of these symptoms, you may want to ask your doctor for a blood test to check your TSH level and Thyroid antibodies.

Symptoms of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis

  • Feeling fatigued, tired, sluggish, or weak
  • Slow body movements
  • Memory problems and forgetfulness
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Depression
  • Difficulty finding the right words or communicating effectively
  • Inability to tolerate cold
  • Muscle weakness
  • Muscle aches and cramps
  • Joint pain
  • Cold skin
  • Dry skin
  • Yellowish tint to the skin
  • Facial puffiness, especially around the eyes
  • Coarse and thinning hair
  • Brittle Nails
  • Constipation
  • Heavy or irregular menstrual periods
  • A goiter (englarged thyroid gland)
  • Hoarse voice
  • Modest weight gain (10 lbs.)
  • Swelling in arms, legs, hands, feet
